At CMSL, our hydrocarbon measurement unit provides end-to-end measurement solutions for crude oil and gas custody transfer operations. From LACT unit recertification and fiscal gas metering to meter proving, instrument calibration, and equipment leasing, we ensure measurement accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational continuity across your production and export facilities.

What We Deliver
LACT Unit Annual Recertification We inspect, calibrate, and recertify Lease Automatic Custody Transfer (LACT) Units and Pipe Prover Systems in line with NUPRC/NMDPRA and API standards to ensure fiscal accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Fiscal Gas Metering Revalidation Quarterly and annual verification and revalidation of fiscal gas metering systems — turbine, ultrasonic, orifice, and others — for gas custody transfer points. Ensures accuracy, traceability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Meter Proving Services We prove flow meters on-site and in our laboratory using master meters, compact pipe provers, or prover tanks (500L or larger capacity) to establish meter factors traceable to national and international standards.
Meter Servicing & Repairs Routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of metering systems, including flow meters, valves, transmitters, and controllers to ensure reliability and minimise downtime.
Instrument Calibration We calibrate pressure gauges, transmitters, switches, temperature sensors, recorders, and controllers to ensure accuracy and traceability.
Installation, Commissioning & Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) Installation, configuration, and commissioning of new metering systems and instruments — including Site Acceptance Testing and integration with SCADA/DCS systems.
Leasing of Loading Equipment & Operational Services Provision and leasing of portable loading skids, transfer pumps, hoses, and flow meters for truck and barge loading operations. Includes on-site operational support, supervision of hydrocarbon transfer, measurement documentation, and reconciliation.
Flow Measurement Laboratory & Consultancy Flow measurement laboratory services and expert advisory on measurement uncertainty, NUPRC/NMDPRA and API compliance, LACT and gas metering design, and optimisation of hydrocarbon accounting processes.
Regulatory Audit Support & Documentation We support NUPRC/NMDPRA audit exercises, prepare compliance documentation, metering system registers, and traceability records, and provide clients' witnessing services.
